Fewster’s Farm Honey – September 2024 News
Welcome to the September issue of our Newsletter!
From the Bee Keeper…
Northern hemisphere autumn celebrates International Honey Month in September and shines a light on nature’s original sweetener. It raises awareness of the importance of bees and honey as a natural and beneficial sweetener.
Total Activity or TA is a method of rating used to measure the anti-microbial quality of honeys produced from Western Australia; the higher the Total Activity, the greater the anti-microbial and anti-bacterial strength.
The anti-bacterial activity of honey is measured from natural enzymes and chemicals in the honey. Any honey with a TA greater than 10+ may have beneficial anti-microbial properties and these properties become more effective as the Total Activity level increases.
Fewster’s Farm range incudes honeys with a Total Activity of
TA10+, TA20+, TA30+, TA45+ and TA55+.
Our superior Jarrah TA+55 honey is the most active honey in the world. It provides exceptional health benefits and healing potential.
